There are many important lessons people have drawn from him as he has been such an inspiration to many.
For any leader, vision is very important for example a CEO. You must be able to have full knowledge of the business from the inside out when you’re a leader. Where the company is headed and where it ought to be is something you should know. Only then will they be able to guide the employees under them on how to go about things. The cause of action to be taken and decisions to be made is dictated by the vision. As of direction is achieved by the company and everyone in them.
One must be accessible and approachable by everyone in the company or business and this is another important quality that has been learned. The open-door system is the approach that has taken over. What this system means is that everyone can be able to approach the leadership without any difficulties and put across their hearts and mind concerning certain things that could be troubling them.
One other important quality is respect. If you want people to respect you also have to respect them because respect is one thing that is two-way. Respect your employees even though they are under you and are under your command because it is always good respect. The importance of this is that instead of commanding respect you and respect and peaceful coexistence is created between you and your employees. You also act as a good example that they will emulates when relating among themselves.
Even as you scale up the ladder, one thing that has also been pointed out is learning from people. Even from people who were below as for instance employees, we always learn from those people around us. Scaling up the career ladder shall not make you despise anyone but if anything, it is important that you continue learning from them. Make sure that you apply and put into practice whatever you learn so that it may transform you and seems to be knowledge.
The last important thing is even to yourself and others, you must be true and honest. People will do the same to you as you do to them.
